Assembly and Test Technician (225-721)

As an Assembly and Test Technician, you will play a crucial role in the production and quality assurance processes within our manufacturing facility. Responsibilities

• Assemble components and systems accurately according to technical documentation and blueprints.
• Perform tests and inspections to ensure products meet quality standards before shipping.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues in assembly processes and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive records of tests, inspections, and assembly processes.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to discuss and resolve design and assembly issues.
• Ensure that assembly tools and equipment are used safely and maintained in good condition.
• Participate in prototype builds and offer feedback for design improvements.
• Adhere to workplace safety and environmental guidelines while performing duties.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in production and testing areas.
• Train and mentor junior technicians to enhance team competency and skill sets.
• Communicate effectively with team members to report work progress and challenges.
• Ensure completed assemblies are properly coded, labeled, and stored for inventory control.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in an assembly and test technician role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical assembly and familiarity with precision tools.
• Experience in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good manual dexterity and an aptitude for working with intricate components.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to product quality.
• Basic knowledge of electronics and electrical systems is an advantage.
