Responsibilities

About the Team

We are the Corporate Services Systems R&D team within ByteDance’s Corporate Information department. We design and build corporate service systems across procurement, business travel, workplace services, and other domains, supporting ByteDance’s global business growth and boosting employees’ day-to-day work efficiency and experience.

We are accelerating the AI-native transformation of these corporate service systems, reimagining how employees interact with corporate services through AI. In parallel, we are building AI Coding solutions and exploring new ways to connect product requirements, software development, validation, and delivery.

Here, you will develop deep, end-to-end knowledge of complex corporate service domains while working with cutting-edge AI engineering technologies. You will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to both our products and technical foundations from an early stage in your career.

Responsibilities

• Understand corporate service scenarios and deliver end-to-end full-stack features for business systems and AI-native products, taking ownership from implementation and testing through release, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Build intuitive, high-quality, highly available, and high-performance web applications that simplify complex business workflows and make AI capabilities accessible, understandable, and reliable for users.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs, service logic, data flows, and system integrations using Node.js, Golang, Java, or Python, with attention to maintainability, scalability, performance, and operational stability.
• Contribute to the AI-native transformation of business systems and the engineering implementation of AI Agent capabilities, while helping build AI Coding solutions and explore new workflows connecting product requirements, coding, validation, and delivery.
• Improve frontend and full-stack infrastructure and developer tooling to increase engineering efficiency, code quality, and system stability.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across frontend, backend, and AI disciplines to break down complex problems and deliver complete product solutions.
  
  
  

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, and eligible for the 2027 campus hiring program.
• Strong foundation in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with hands-on experience using TypeScript and React.
• Familiarity with modern frontend engineering practices, including component design, state management, build tooling, and modular application development.
• Hands-on backend project experience using at least one of Node.js, Golang, Java, or Python.
• Ability to independently develop backend APIs, implement business logic, integrate internal or external services, and troubleshoot issues across system boundaries.
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, with the ability to design, implement, test, and maintain complete full-stack features.
• Experience with an AI-related project, research project, internship, or independently developed application.
• Strong logical thinking, independent problem-solving, and the ability to break down and execute on complex or ambiguous problems.
• Proficient written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship, academic, open-source, or personal project experience demonstrating end-to-end ownership of a full-stack application.
• Experience building or maintaining backend services in addition to frontend applications.
• Experience building AI-powered applications, Agent-based products, AI Coding tools, or other developer productivity solutions.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies and engineering patterns such as Redux, Webpack, monorepos, or their modern equivalents.
• Experience improving application performance, engineering efficiency, system stability, or developer experience.
• A proactive and self-motivated mindset, with strong curiosity about turning emerging AI technologies into practical products.
