Job Description
The Accountant role involves managing and analyzing financial information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations and policies. This position plays a critical role in supporting financial decision-making and maintaining the financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Perform financial analysis and reporting, including variance analysis and trend analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, audit, and tax, to support financial and operational goals.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Identify and analyze areas of financial risk and propose mitigation strategies.
- Support the implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance role, with knowledge of financial reporting and analysis.
- Proficient in using accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
