Role Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
The
Account Executive is primarily responsible for day-to-day client work under the daily supervision of an Account Manager. Covering the basics of PR, communications, and social, the Account Executive plays a key role in coordination of account activity and will perform a variety of tasks including research and analysis, media monitoring, and preparing summary reports to support the client engagement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Staying up to date with current trends and news relevant to APCO’s clients
- Generating creative ideas to support clients political and strategic objectives
- Conducting political research and monitoring for existing clients and new business opportunities
- Preparing first drafts of agendas, contact reports, and activity reports
- Contributing to new business efforts and supporting the growth of the UAE Public Affairs team
- Attending think tank and other relevant policy events
- Completing ad-hoc assignments and reports as requested by the direct manager
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Policy, International Relations, Political Science, Marketing, Communications, or Journalism
- Related work experience of 2–3 years
- Prior experience in public affairs, with flexibility to support other teams as needed
- Previous client servicing experience
- Knowledge of the UAE and KSA regulatory and political landscape
- Interest in communications and enthusiasm for the fast-paced nature of agency life
- Understanding of strategic communications, public affairs, and campaign planning
- Familiarity with the regional regulatory environment
- Proficiency in using tools and resources to support client work
- Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships across media and government
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Awareness of market trends and ability to apply relevant insights
- Skills in client relationship management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
