Job Description

As an Academic Counselor - Tele Sales, your role is pivotal in guiding prospective students through the nuances of education choices and ensuring they enroll in programs that align with their career aspirations. You will be working primarily over the phone, engaging with students and parents to inform them about educational opportunities, features of various programs, and the benefits of enrolling. Your expertise in both sales and counseling will help establish a strong rapport with clients, effectively understanding and addressing their educational needs. You will play a significant role in the recruitment process, boosting enrollment numbers through targeted communication strategies, nurturing leads from inquiry through to enrollment, and maintaining follow-up communication to ensure student satisfaction. This position demands a balance between sales skills and educational knowledge, a strong understanding of various programs, and the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.


Responsibilities

  • Engage with prospective students via phone calls to offer educational opportunities.
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive information on various programs available.
  • Identify and assess the educational needs and goals of students during consultations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current academic program offerings and updates.
  • Follow up with prospective students and parents to address inquiries and concerns.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage and document all interactions and student data.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly enrollment targets set by management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop outreach strategies for student recruitment.
  • Organize and participate in virtual seminars and workshops for student engagement.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings to refine counseling strategies.
  • Prepare and present reports on outreach and conversion rates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing timely support and advice.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in tele sales or academic counseling is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective student engagement.
  • Strong sales acumen with a proven track record of meeting targets and quotas.
  • Ability to explain educational concepts and program details in a clear manner.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Empathetic and patient approach towards understanding student needs and concerns.
