The Wangaratta Site Manager is key in the CopRice Manufacturing Leadership Team. Working with a small site team of mill staff, customer service and maintenance, you will be managing the full operational remit across the Feed mill.
You will be role is responsible for leading all planned Production requirements, improvement activities and culture developments while championing continuous improvement to provide positive, uplift in production performance, utilisation, throughput and equipment.
You will also support logistics effectiveness for deliveries and vehicle utilisation, and embed a positive, inclusive and accountable culture across the mill.
Your responsibilities will include:
Production:-
Own the performance of the site
Develop and implement production plans and strategies to optimise the Production area resources
Analyse the weekly production plan and adopt the optimal methodology for production, labour usage, supply chain performance and customer demand
Prepare reports around KPIs, production data and the areas operational performance
Safety:-
Compliance with all policies and procedures, and ensure all systems and processes are conducted in a safe manner, where hazards and risks are eliminated where possible
Manage incident / accident investigations, root cause analysis, implement corrective actions and establish monitoring programs
Quality:-
Support the Team to ensure that all SFMCA, HACCP, SQF and GMP principles for the production areas are complied with and fully implemented
Analyse Customer Complaints and Non-Conformances to develop and implement corrective action strategies to minimise occurrences
Support the broader quality team to ensure that all internal and external customer requirements are met and adhered to, including Audit requirements.
Budget / Resources:-
Monitor production spend on budget vs actual in line with the set budget reporting on variances
Review variances, and recommend / prepare Capital Expenditure proposals
Continuous Improvement:-
Develop and establish strategies to continuously improve the sites standards and output
Ensure delivery of NPD trials and projects, to capitalise on business opportunities.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership position, within a similar role on a Site in Australia
Tertiary qualifications at Diploma level or above in manufacturing, engineering or related disciplines
Full, unlimited working rights in Australia
In depth knowledge of Production Planning, previous FMCG experience an advantage
Thorough understanding of HACCP and GMP in a manufacturing environment
Effective communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to convey ideas clearly, listen actively, and tailor messages to different audiences
Proficiency with technical applications such as production automation, data entry and using software to access project data, track budget information and design processes
Excellent understanding of OEE and ability to use metrics to track operation effectiveness across different shifts
Be able to develop and manage projects utilising technological solutions
Efficient Leader skills with ability to motivate and empower team members
Promoting and demonstrating a culture of safety in the workplace including problem-solving, identifying issues, analyse root causes, and develop viable solutions
Have a continuous improvement mindset
