Typical Day in the Life
A typical day as a Senior Paralegal might include the following:
- Actively participates in e-discovery, including summons, subpoena response and litigation support.
- Develops and utilizes case and matter management system to set up, track, update and close all legal and compliance matters.
- Organize and coordinate the documents from clients and third-party record keepers to prepare for cases and potential litigation.
- Instruct and train employees to track and store records in preparation for litigation.
- Drafts, reviews, edits, and formats legal documents (i.e., correspondence, memos, IRS responses, contracts, agreements, Tax Court pleadings, etc.).
- Drafts and reviews Private Letter Ruling submissions to the IRS.
- Coordinates with internal and external clients and directs needs to appropriate resources.
- Performs a variety of special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
- Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.
Who You Are
- You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Business Administration or a related field required.
- You have 10+ years of litigation paralegal experience required; tax litigation experience is preferred.
- You have experience in a professional services firm, law firm, or corporate litigation department.
- You have experience working with e-discovery software.
- You have knowledge of risk principles and understanding of legal practices.
- You have the ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding the firm’s financial, client and other information.
- You have strong organizational, interpersonal and client service skills.
- You can work independently with minimal supervision.
- You have the ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- You can work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
- You establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

Compensation: $95,000-$120,000
Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
