Job Summary

As the Real Estate Manager for MEIA region, you will lead the leasing process, ensuring optimal retail presence and aligning real estate strategies with business objectives. Your expertise in retail leasing and strong relationship-building skills will drive successful negotiations, enhance Richemont's footprint, and support the growth of our luxury Maisons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leasing & Portfolio Management
    • Manage the leasing process for Richemont's Maisons, including site selection, lease negotiations, and deal closing within the MEIA region.
    • Support the Maisons in negotiating new leases or renewals, utilizing agents when appropriate to maximize outcomes.
    • Leverage existing relationships and implement a coordinated approach, taking the lead in negotiations while respecting the autonomy of the Maisons.
    • Oversee and coordinate the work of external professionals, such as attorneys and agents, as required.
    • Relationship Management & Business Development

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with landlords, property managers, and other key stakeholders to secure access to quality retail spaces and favorable lease terms.
    • Gather market information on potential trends and define opportunities early on, recommending preferred agents to the Maisons as needed.
    • Build relationships with agents, landlords, and other retailers to enhance Richemont’s positioning in the market.
    • Market Research & Strategy

    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the luxury retail market within the MEIA region.
    • Monitor the evolution of the retail property environment by observing gateway cities and maintaining dialogue with investors and developers.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including brand teams, to understand their business objectives and develop tailored real estate strategies that meet their needs.
    • Financial Oversight & Reporting

    • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports related to leasing activities.
    • Prepare recommendation memos for presentations in Geneva during investment committees, supporting the submission of Capital Approval Requests by the Maisons.
    • Compliance & Best Practices

    • Negotiate lease agreements and other documents on behalf of Richemont, ensuring that the company's interests are protected.
    • Stay informed about industry developments, best practices, and changes in the luxury retail market to ensure compliance and alignment with company standards.
Key Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in retail leasing, preferably in the luxury sector.
  • Strong knowledge of retail leasing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, property managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Track record of successfully negotiating leases and achieving business objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications, such as ICSC or CCIM, are an asset.
  • Fluency in English, with additional languages (e.g., French, Arabic) being advantageous
