About The Job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Spa & Wellness Department in Dubai, the Fitness & Wellness Manager is responsible for, but not limited to, the overall membership programs, fitness & wellness colleagues, complimentary guest activities and private wellness programs. In addition, the Fitness & Wellness Manager is to maintain all operations aspects of all fitness & wellness facilities. Fitness & Wellness Manager reports to Director of Spa & Wellness.

As a Fitness & Wellness Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensure adherence to all corporate policies, SOPs, LQE/MOQA/Forbes standards, and HR strategic guidelines. Support and document learning, development, and training initiatives, maintaining updated matrices and job descriptions.
  • Manage daily operations of Spa & Wellness, including pools, fitness centres, and kids club. Handle fitness assessments, member programs, bookings, and wellness activities, acting as the key point of contact for corporate groups.
  • Conduct monthly meetings, support colleague career paths, oversee recruitment, scheduling, and training, while ensuring disciplinary procedures and P&C policies are followed.
  • Assist in budget preparation, analyse financial reports, conduct monthly inventories, and collaborate on incentive programs to drive business opportunities.
  • Address guest complaints, coordinate health consultations, and deliver personalized programs to meet guest needs while ensuring safety and wellness standards.
  • Develop and promote fitness and wellness programs, collaborate on marketing efforts, attend industry events, and maintain up-to-date SOPs, systems, and filing for operational efficiency.

As a Fitness & Wellness Manager, we expect from you:

  • Tertiary education required, preferably in sport or fitness management.
  • Minimum 2 years in a similar role; prior experience in a 5-star hotel is essential; experience in the Middle East and hotel pre-opening is an advantage.
  • Strong computer literacy is a must.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to understand guest needs independently; clear verbal and written communication in English.
  • Capable of conducting personal training sessions and creating membership programs.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to multitask effectively.
