The Warehouse Supervisor & Forklift Operator role is a critical position that combines leadership and operational skills to maintain efficient and safe warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of warehouse management, particularly in overseeing daily picking and packing processes, inventory management, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. This role requires substantial hands-on experience in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. The Warehouse Supervisor & Forklift Operator will be responsible for guiding a team while working closely with other departments to ensure timely shipments and receiving processes. An individual in this position must be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of enhancing operational procedures in alignment with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage warehouse staff to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport products and materials.
• Coordinate and oversee all outbound shipping procedures and receiving tasks.
• Implement and enforce safety regulations and warehouse operational procedures.
• Maintain organized records of stock and inventory levels within warehouse systems.
• Strategically plan warehouse layout to optimize space and improve processes.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on warehouse machinery.
• Lead regular team meetings to communicate goals and ongoing process updates.
• Assist in resolving any logistical problems related to warehouse operations.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of shipments and receipts documentation.
• Provide training for new employees on warehouse protocols and equipment usage.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to warehouse objectives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar supervisory role.
• Valid certification to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Great problem-solving abilities and focus on attention to detail.
