The Van Sales Assistant plays a critical role in expanding market presence and ensuring the delivery of high-quality customer service in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. This dynamic position involves operating van vehicles for the direct delivery and sale of goods, forging strong customer relationships, and driving sales growth in assigned territories. With a focus on timely and efficient service, the Van Sales Assistant is pivotal in meeting sales targets, managing inventory, and providing immediate customer feedback to improve product offerings and strategies. Responsibilities

  • Drive company vans to make sales and deliver products to customers.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with existing and potential customers.
  • Ensure accurate recording and management of sales and van inventory.
  • Generate and secure new sales opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Collect payments and manage cash transactions accurately and securely.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify and resolve customer complaints to improve service quality.
  • Report sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends to management.
  • Ensure all delivery and sales operations comply with company policies.
  • Maintain the van in good working condition through regular checks.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to maximize sales efforts and strategies.
  • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to enhance skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required for this position.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record mandatory.
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is necessary.
  • Knowledge of the local geography and roadways for efficient delivery routes.
