Job Description
The Test Engineer role involves designing and executing tests to ensure the quality and functionality of software products. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop test cases and test plans based on software requirements.
- Execute test cases and record test results using test management tools.
- Identify and document software defects and track their resolution.
- Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand product requirements and resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure software changes do not introduce new issues.
- Participate in the planning and estimation of testing efforts for new products and features.
- Stay up-to-date with testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance role.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, including Agile.
- Proficient in using test management tools, defect tracking systems, and test automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of programming languages, scripting languages, and software testing frameworks.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and isolate software defects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- ISTQB or similar certification in software testing is preferred.
