Job Description

The Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of a company’s supply chain operations. This position is responsible for overseeing the activities related to procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. The Supply Chain Manager works closely with various departments including finance, production, and sales to ensure that processes run smoothly and goals are met. They are tasked with identifying inefficiencies, implementing strategies to improve operations, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that the organization's supply chain is cost-effective and efficient. This role is essential for meeting customer demands and maintaining a competitive edge in the marketplace. A successful Supply Chain Manager must have strong problem-solving skills, in-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, and the ability to manage complex networks of suppliers and distributors.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Oversee procurement processes, from sourcing to supplier management and contract negotiation.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure alignment with production and sales forecasts.
  • Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to synchronize production, sales, and supply chain processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies across the supply chain.
  • Develop risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Lead and train a team of supply chain professionals to achieve departmental goals.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure beneficial terms.
  • Implement technology solutions to enhance supply chain operations and data transparency.
  • Monitor market trends and economic factors to adapt supply chain strategies accordingly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management or logistics.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills for effective supplier management.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices in the industry.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
