Core Accountabilities
Supervise daily production operations on the shop floor, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.
Assign and oversee tasks for the operational teams and Assembly/Cleaning Supervisors based on the daily production plan, ensuring timely and efficient completion of all work orders.
Monitor processes to ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety guidelines.
Support Senior Supervisors in meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency by effectively managing and motivating the teams.
Ensure team members have the necessary tools, materials, and instructions to perform their tasks efficiently and without delays.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area aligned with lean manufacturing principles and comply with workplace safety regulations.
Identify and promptly report any delays, equipment issues, or quality concerns to Senior Supervisors and assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational challenges.
Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and addressing hazards as they arise.
Provide on-the-job training to new team members and assist in cross-training initiatives to create a flexible and capable workforce.
Monitor the quality of finished products, ensuring they meet internal specifications and customer requirements, escalating issues for corrective action.
Assist in performing regular inventory checks of consumables and components, reporting any discrepancies or shortages to relevant departments.
Collaborate with quality and planning teams to ensure smooth execution of daily production schedules and alignment with operational goals.
Track team attendance, manage time-off requests, and report performance concerns to Senior Supervisors, ensuring appropriate staffing levels for the production plan.
Lead by example, maintaining discipline, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the teams.
Encourage team participation in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest practical ideas for enhancing workflow, efficiency, and product quality.
Participate in safety audits, toolbox talks, and EHS-related activities to engage all team members in safety priorities.
Operate within authority limits defined by Senior Supervisors and escalate issues to higher management when necessary.
Experience & Educational Qualifications
Diploma degree in Engineering (Manufacturing/Mechanical /Production) or related equivalent experience/qualifications.
2+ years of progressively responsible management experience within operations.
5+ years of experience in a production environment, with a strong focus on handwork operations including cleaning and assembly.
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Solid understanding of production operations best practices.
Demonstrated success in improving Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) culture.
Preferably experienced working within a Lean Production System.
Excellent knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other techniques to maximize manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
