About The Role

Mott MacDonald is currently looking for a Structural Inspector who will be responsible for inspecting all structural components pertaining to the Highrise Buildings projects, ensuring their compliancy with the codes and standards within the contract.

Key responsibilities and dutiesare listed, but not limited to, the below:

  • Check site conditions for suitability prior to construction ensuring it is compatible with the proposed designs; inspect and identify any obstructions
  • Monitor the implementation of the contractor’s quality procedures and raise non-conformance reports when required
  • Prepare reports on daily progress, reporting on inspections made and work executed, ensuring its compliance with the contract
  • Review materials for conformance with pre-approved samples and report findings; ensure they are stored appropriately
  • Develop and maintain the Quality Management System, Quality Management Plan in line with legislation, certification, contract requirements and company governance
  • Observe, check and record work execution is in accordance with approved methods
  • Check setting-out and levels
  • Observe site safety procedures and monitor and report on contractor’s safety performance, raising non-conformance reports when required
  • Assist in the preparation of ‘As Built’ drawings

Candidate Specification

  • Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or any relevant engineering
  • Relevant experience in the construction supervision ofHighrise Buildings projectswith experience in the UAE and in a similar capacity.
  • Experience must include all Health and Safety and Environmental Protection aspects of the construction and operations.
  • Experience within a consultancy environment is preferred
