Job Title: Sr. Contracts Specialist

Job Purpose:

To develop the contractual documents including and not limited to draft and negotiate technical and commercial inputs, terms & conditions to finalize the contract with customer and suppliers and manage the post award contract administration services consistent with Contract Management policy & procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the final scope of services, identify contract risks and manage the implementation of risk mitigation measures specific to technical & commercial aspects.
  • Finalize technical & commercial terms & conditions for customer and supplier contracts/agreements in coordination with Program/Project Managers and Finance Department.
  • Conduct meetings with concerned stakeholders including but not limited to international customers, suppliers, and program/project teams to discuss the project requirements and/or interpret RFQ/RFP/RFI to gather the technical requirements of the requested services and provide high level risks associated with pre- contract award administration.
  • Finalize technical & commercial inputs for contracts and agreements for customers and suppliers including but not limited to NDA’s, Project Agreements, Sale & Purchase Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Supply Agreements, Services Agreements, etc. (as and when required).
  • Participate in meetings with customers and suppliers to negotiate the technical & commercial contract with the concerned Program/Project Managers, Senior Legal Counsel and Finance Department.
  • Coordinate with Program/Project Managers and Finance Department to negotiate and finalize the program/project specific insurance and ensure issuance of insurance certificate before the beginning of the program/project.
  • Develop, review and process variation orders and amendments while assessing the impact of change in scope, price and time schedule impact in collaboration with PMO, Finance Department and Legal.
  • Identify pre and post contract award risks specific to technical and commercial aspects. Ensure risk mitigation measures/solution to Program/Project Managers are recommended.
  • Manage the resolution of all disputes related to contracts in the interest of the Company and prepare final settlements.
  • Manage the delivery of responses to customers/suppliers regarding contract deviations, modification technical & commercial terms & conditions etc.
  • Ensure effective management of all relevant contract related correspondences and documentations as per the quality management and information security policy.

Experience and Education:

  • 8 years of Contract Management experience in public/private sector organization with specific exposure to international contracts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science / Engineering / Contract Management/ Business Administration (MBA)/ Legislative Law (LLB) or equivalent.
  • Master's degree in Science / Engineering Contract Management/ Business Administration (MBA)/ Legislative Law (LLB) or equivalent.
  • Experience in contract management public/private sector defence engineering organization.
