Job Description

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will apply your expertise in structural design engineering to contribute to the successful completion of various projects. Your responsibilities will include playing a pivotal role in the design process, ensuring compliance with quality standards, codes and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare designs, analytical models, and calculations for new construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory approvals.
  • Provide technical support in developing conceptual, schematic, and detailed design calculations for structural components in multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Lead the structural engineering analysis and design process to ensure precision and efficiency.
  • Timely delivery of design solutions and reports.
  • Adhere to both company and client quality standard procedures in all design work.
  • Efficiently manage tasks and structural resources, monitoring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Offer technical support and ensure technical accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate technical aspects of projects and structural design methodologies to team members and senior staff.
  • Stay abreast of current engineering codes and practices, contributing expertise to technical discussions at project and divisional levels.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in structural design engineering in building structures.
  • Experience working in an international design consultancy is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated design experience as per American codes and standards is required.
  • Familiarity with local codes, standards, and authorities, especially in the Middle East and the Gulf region, is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and delivering building structures projects of varying complexity.
  • Proficiency in analytical/design software such as CSI Family and or Staad and RAM.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Computational skills along with scripting language like C# or Python is preferred.
  • BIM knowledge Revit and Rhino is a plus.
