Senior SAP S 4HANA Integration Engineer

Synopsis

The SAP Integration Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and managing end-to-end SAP integrations across cloud and on-premise systems using SAP BTP Integration Suite, CPI, API Management, and SAP PO. The role ensures scalable, secure, and efficient integration solutions aligned with enterprise standards, while guiding technical teams and driving best practices.

Accountabilities

• Led the end-to-end delivery, support, and optimization of SAP integrations across cloud and on-premises platforms using SAP BTP Integration Suite, SAP CPI, API Management, SAP PO, and Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG).
• Designed and maintained scalable and secure integration architectures aligned with enterprise strategy, ensuring seamless data flow between SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Provided technical leadership to cross-functional teams by setting integration standards, reviewing solution designs, and mentoring team members on SAP integration best practices.
• Translate business and functional requirements into robust integration designs, ensuring compliance with SAP and enterprise-level architectural principles.
• Oversaw the implementation of integration pipelines using modern DevOps and CI/CD practices tailored for SAP landscapes.
• Conducted detailed performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of SAP interfaces to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
• Collaborated with enterprise architects, solution owners, and product teams to influence integration roadmaps and modernize legacy integration points.
• Championed the adoption of reusable integration components, APIs, and frameworks to accelerate project delivery and reduce technical debt.
• Drove community-of-practice (CoP) initiatives focused on knowledge sharing, innovation in SAP integrations, and continuous capability uplift across the engineering team.
• Facilitated agile ceremonies, decomposition of integration epics into actionable development stories, and ensured timely delivery aligned with sprint goals.
  
  

Education & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP integration experience, especially with SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP Integration Suite.
• Preferred certifications: SAP S/4HANA, BTP Integration Suite, and CPI.
• Strong expertise in SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, SAP PO, and CIG.
• Proficient in REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, OAuth, and SAML.
• Experience in performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting SAP integrations.
• Familiarity with other platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi) is a plus.
