Senior Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Technical Support

• Review and approve mechanical design calculations, drawings, and equipment selection for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Ensure designs comply with international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC, ISO, etc.) and client requirements.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, as-built drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Conduct value engineering and provide technical solutions to optimize cost and efficiency.

Project Execution & Site Supervision

• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP mechanical systems.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to approved schedules and budgets.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with approved drawings/specifications.
• Coordinate with other disciplines (electrical, civil, architectural) to resolve design and site issues.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

• Prepare BOQs, specifications, and support procurement of materials and equipment.
• Review vendor offers, conduct technical evaluations, and recommend approvals.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for timely delivery and quality assurance.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Plan and supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Ensure all testing procedures comply with project specifications and standards.
• Prepare O&M manuals, testing reports, and final handover documents.

Leadership & Compliance

• Mentor junior engineers, supervisors, and site staff to enhance technical capability.
• Ensure all mechanical activities comply with HSE policies and quality control procedures.
• Attend technical and progress meetings with consultants, clients, and contractors.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 8–15 years of experience in MEP projects, including at least 8 plus years in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and building services.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, DuctSizer, MS Office, and project management tools.
• Excellent understanding of international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC, ISO).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Language Proficiency: Hindi and English are mandatory. Urdu is preferred. Arabic is a plus.
