General Purpose of Role
- Provide leadership and Construction Management subject matter expertise to embed construction and completions excellence across all phases of project development. Champion early integration of construction-driven methodologies into engineering, schedule development, execution planning, contract strategy, and cost estimating to ensure safe, predictable, and cost-effective project delivery.
- Drive the implementation of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) principles and lead the development of a digitalisation roadmap for Construction, aligning with engineering, project services, and supply chain to deliver integrated, data-enabled solutions.
- Act as a strategic leader, supporting a high-performance project delivery culture that prioritises safety, constructability, and client satisfaction. Utilising deep construction expertise, lead and guide multidisciplinary teams through complex project environments, ensuring alignment with Worley’s values, contractual commitments, and key delivery milestones.
- Develop deep understanding of client objectives and contract frameworks to positively influence execution strategies and ensure construction and completion requirements are embedded throughout the project lifecycle.
- Promote a proactive and embedded safety culture across all phases of project execution, with a strategic commitment to achieving zero Lost Time Incidents (LTI) across all construction activities.

- Leadership in Dynamic Conditions: Proactively promote Worley’s values and leadership principles within the construction management team. Exercise decisive leadership in navigating complex project landscapes, making informed decisions, and leading through evolving business conditions and multidisciplinary challenges.
- People Management & Team Development: Demonstrate strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and supervisory skills to build, motivate, and manage high-performing teams. Effectively plan, set goals, and manage time, priorities, construction resources, schedule and cost interfaces.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and sustain effective client relationships, ensuring satisfaction across all construction and completions activities within the region.
- Work Process Implementation: Establish and maintain effective construction and completions work processes, ensuring project teams understand and apply them consistently to support safe and efficient delivery.
- Contractor Evaluation & Productivity: Evaluate contractor capabilities and monitor resource deployment and productivity metrics to support performance assurance.
- Proposal & Estimating: Lead preparation of proposals and bids for Construction and Commissioning scopes, with strategic input into Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimates to ensure alignment with execution realities and constructability principles.
- Offshore/Onshore Execution Expertise: Extensive track record in delivering complex onshore and offshore scopes, encompassing brownfield and greenfield environments, SIMOPS, access constraints, heavy lifting operations, marine vessel interface, and modularisation strategies.
- Engineering Support: Proven ability to operate within a design office environment, engaging proactively with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to influence layout, execution sequencing, and embed construction and completions feasibility.
- Constructability Integration: Lead Constructability reviews during FEED and Detailed Design phases, coordinating across disciplines to embed execution considerations into engineering deliverables.
- Client Assurance: Represent construction SME capability in client-facing design assurance sessions to reinforce multi-discipline collaboration and ensure construction and completions requirements are fully considered and integrated into the design process.
- Constructability Tools & Systems: Proficient in the use of Constructability checklists, Digital platforms (Navisworks, Power BI etc) and implementation of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) principles, including CWPs, EWPs, and FIWPs.
Typical Qualifications
- University Education: University degree in a relevant engineering or construction discipline, or equivalent combination of education and extensive industry experience.
- Experience: Relevant years in EPC(M) projects, with experience in FEED and Detailed Design, collaborating closely with engineering teams to embed construction strategy, drive constructability, and optimise design for execution.
- Technical Expertise: Strong Oil & Gas discipline background with mandatory offshore experience, including brownfield, SIMOPS, modularisation, and marine interface scopes.
- Leadership: Proven ability to support cross-functional teams, influence engineering outcomes, and align construction planning with project objectives, safety standards, and client expectations.
