Job Description

The Senior Logistics Manager plays a pivotal role in our supply chain process to seamlessly manage operations, ensure efficient flow of goods, and maintain high levels of service. This leader will develop and implement logistics strategies, optimize processes, and strive for cost-effective solutions while meeting the organization's objective of timely delivery and product availability. Working closely with vendors, customers, and our internal team, the Senior Logistics Manager will identify areas for improvement and work to minimize risks while maximizing productivity across logistics operations. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills to mentor and guide the logistics team, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and goals.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage and lead logistics team to ensure consistent performance and morale.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics metrics to assess performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts, minimizing logistics costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements in logistics operations.
  • Design and optimize transportation networks to ensure timely product deliveries.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders for supply chain success.
  • Oversee inventory management and warehousing processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Implement technology solutions to improve reporting, tracking, and logistical efficiency.
  • Resolve any emerging problems from logistical operations, promptly and decisively.
  • Conduct risk assessments and devise contingency plans to mitigate supply chain interruptions.
  • Maintain high customer service standards in logistical operations to foster customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in team management and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to achieve logistic goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with logistics management software and information system applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of logistics processes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
