Job Description

The Senior Logistics Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain and logistics operations within the organization. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional skills in logistics management, inventory control, transportation, and distribution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex supply chains and leading cross-functional teams efficiently. As a Senior Logistics Manager, you will work closely with other departments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services, making a significant impact on customer satisfaction and business performance. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to optimize supply chain operations.
  • Lead and manage the logistics team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure efficient and cost-effective purchasing and distribution of products and materials.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics operations to identify and resolve inefficiencies promptly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to harmonize logistics and supply chain activities.
  • Negotiate contracts with transportation and logistics service providers to maximize value.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure levels are maintained to meet business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations within all logistical operations.
  • Implement and manage technologies aimed at optimizing logistics processes and reporting.
  • Prepare and provide regular reports on logistics metrics and recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop contingency plans to respond to emergencies or unforeseen disruptions in logistics.
  • Establish KPI metrics to evaluate performance and optimize logistics strategies accordingly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing large and diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex logistics data.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Experience with logistics management software and technologies is highly desirable.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
