Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the financial planning and analysis team, responsible for providing support and insights into business performance and strategic decision-making. This role involves conducting in-depth financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and data-driven projects. The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with various departments to gain understanding and alignment on financial metrics and goals, providing crucial financial insights that steer the business's strategies. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to present complex financial data clearly and concisely. A strategic thinker, the Senior Financial Analyst is expected to identify trends, drive process improvements, and contribute to the company's financial strength and strategic positioning in the market.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive financial models to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between budgeted and actual performance.
  • Collaborate with department heads to create annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to identify risks and opportunities for the business.
  • Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.
  • Participate in the development and continuous improvement of financial planning processes.
  • Coordinate the preparation of strategic plans and presentations for stakeholders and investors.
  • Monitor key financial and operational metrics to assess business performance effectively.
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required by senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and timely reporting of financial documents.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial reporting activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques is essential.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities are necessary.
  • Experience with financial software systems, such as SAP or Oracle, is preferred.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, are vital for this role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment is essential.
