Join Our Team as a Senior Engineer, Mechatronics – Test Equipment Development Specialist
About The Role
Are you an experienced engineer passionate about test equipment development and system validation? As a Senior Engineer in our HALCON Systems team, you will play a pivotal role designing and developing cutting-edge test equipment that ensures product excellence across aerospace development programs.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and deliver in-house subsystem designs for test equipment supporting key development projects
- Lead and contribute to design reviews, enhancing testability, reliability, maintainability, and producibility of products
- Interpret and implement test specifications and procedures for hardware and software test tools, jigs, and fixtures
- Bridge development and production teams by transferring design intent and product knowledge for smooth industrialization
- Advise management and project teams on technology advancements and best practices in test environments
- Collaborate with Mechatronics Engineering and weapon integration teams to define test equipment strategies and support infrastructure
- Mentor and lead junior engineers, guiding project execution and professional growth
- Experience: Minimum 12 years (Bachelor’s) or 7 years (Master’s) in aerospace or related industries
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in electronics or aerospace engineering
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in test engineering, product acceptance testing, and test equipment development
- Proficiency in NI LabVIEW & TestStand or similar test automation tools
- Deep understanding of systems engineering processes including requirements, design, integration, and certification
- Strong communication skills with ability to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Leadership: Proven mentor and technical leader, capable of driving team success and project delivery
- Lead innovation in aerospace test systems with real impact on national defense capabilities
