Job Description

As a Senior Contracts & Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the purchasing activities of the organization, ensuring that procurement processes run smoothly and adhere to corporate policies and legal regulations. You will be responsible for negotiating, drafting, and managing contracts with suppliers and vendors, obtaining the best terms for your organization. Your expertise will help optimize supply chain operations and procurement strategies to support the organization’s goals and maximize value while maintaining high ethical standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to foster effective and collaborative relationships. Additionally, you will utilize data-driven strategies to innovate and improve procurement processes to meet business objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure organizational benefits.
  • Develop procurement strategies that align with business objectives and budgets.
  • Lead contract management processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Oversee supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Review and analyze vendor proposals to obtain the best terms and conditions.
  • Implement and enforce effective procurement policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with project managers to align procurement with project timelines and needs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain and procurement activities.
  • Train and mentor junior procurement team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
  • Utilize procurement software to track and report on purchasing activities and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts and procurement management.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms.
  • Proven experience managing complex contracts and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
