The Senior Specialist – Design & Development (SupTech) will play a critical role design, development, testing, implementing and enhancements of the bank’s SupTech platform, related technology stacks and other applications based on DevSecOps pipeline software delivery . The role encompasses analyzing technical functional designs, designing and developing banking/insurance regulatory forms and workflows, work with data modellers and data engineers to prepare for data ingestion and ensuring the platform’s and solution’s continuous improvement to meet the bank’s objectives. The role also involves performing modern software development, fostering innovation, ensuring code quality, promoting collaboration via agile practices, providing effective support and resolution, and driving continuous improvement within the team while aligning technical decisions with the overall Bank’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities Core Responsibilities
Design and Development (SupTech) is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of the SupTech platform based on modern technology stacks that continuously meet evolving business needs. It involves setting the overall technical vision and ensuring adherence to high software engineering standards. This role is crucial in shaping the banks technological future in identifying, evaluating, and advocating for the adoption of contemporary technologies, architectural patterns, and adoption of agile values and principles across all development teams.
Build secure, accurate and , and maintainable SupTech forms/schedules and processes
Implement schema?driven forms (e.g., JSON/XML schema stored in DB) with server?side validation, conditional logic, and field?level permissions, exposed via APIs.
Persist form definitions, submissions, and attachments in relational tables (with JSON columns where appropriate), enforce data integrity with constraints, and provide clear error contracts and auditability (who changed what, when).
Implement workflow orchestration and state management for supervisory processes
Code workflow engines and state machines to drive licensing, inspections, case reviews, and approvals.
Own relational data modeling, SQL performance, and operational quality for forms & workflows.
Enhancements and support maintenance
Enhance SQL Power forms based on updates or changes in regulations.
Identify and propose system and process enhancements to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Deliver comprehensive Level 2 (L2) and Level 3 (L3) support for the SupTech modules, addressing issues such as troubleshooting, incident investigation, and conducting functional root cause analysis (RCA).
Manage complex issues such as system bugs, data inaccuracies, and access challenges under L3 support, including bug fixes and detailed problem resolution.
Fulfill end-user service requests as per the service catalogue, ensuring timely and precise delivery of data and information.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as a key liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment of requirements.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure their satisfaction and alignment with business objectives.
4. Incident Management
Actively engage in incident triage calls, prioritizing, managing, and resolving aged tickets efficiently.
Maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional designs, test cases, and incident resolution records, adhering to organizational standards.
5. Documentation and Knowledge Management
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for SupTech modules, including user manuals, process flows, and system configurations.
Share expertise with junior team members and act as a subject matter mentor to support their growth and knowledge development.
Performs any other duties outside the scope as and when required.
