The Key Objectives For This Role Are
- Responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient erection, alteration, and dismantling of scaffolding structures on a construction site. They ensure compliance with safety regulations, manage scaffolding teams, and coordinate scaffolding activities with other trades.
Responsibilities
- Inspecting scaffolding materials before and after erection
- Ensuring the stability and safety of scaffolding structures
- Conducting risk assessments and creating safety plans
- Maintaining records of inspections, incidents, and maintenance work
- Training new staff on safety protocols and proper scaffolding techniques
- Liaising with other project supervisors and management to ensure that scaffolding plans align with project timelines and objectives
- Supervising the erection and dismantling of scaffolding structures
- Auditing and inspecting existing structures to confirm compliance with safety standards and structural integrity
- Problem-solving on-site issues related to scaffolding
- Ordering and managing scaffolding materials and inventory
- Communicating effectively with construction managers and other contractors concerning project details and timelines

Expected
- Proven experience as a Scaffolding Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to scaffolding
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic drawings
- CISRS/CITB certification in Scaffolding
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in construction safety is a plus
