Satellite Data Specialist

Job Description

The Satellite Data Specialist will be responsible for analyzing satellite data, managing the processing and distribution of payload data and images, and actively participating in satellite operations, including mission planning and satellite pass imaging. This role involves developing image processing algorithms, refining data processing techniques, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of processed data to stakeholders. Tasks and Responsibilities: - Analyze raw satellite data and transform it into useful, actionable information for stakeholders. - Develop and implement algorithms for image processing and data analysis. - Manage the processing, storage, and distribution of satellite payload data and images. - Ensure data quality through continuous monitoring and refinement of processing techniques. - Conduct mission planning and support satellite operations, including planning for satellite passes and capturing relevant data during these passes. - Coordinate with the operations team to ensure successful execution of satellite imaging during passes. - Generate reports, visualizations, and analyses based on satellite data for both internal and external use. - Troubleshoot data-related issues, optimize data flows, and ensure smooth data processing operations. - Stay updated on the latest technologies and advancements in satellite data analysis and remote sensing.

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Remote Sensing, Geospatial Science, or a related field.
  
  

• Basic knowledge of satellite data, GIS, and mission planning. - Familiarity with data analysis tools like Python or similar programming languages. - Eagerness to learn satellite pass operations and data processing techniques.
