SAP WM EWM Solution Consultant

Please note: This position requires the candidate’s physical presence in the UAE. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available at this time. The selected candidate should be able to relocate and start within one month from offer acceptance.

Job Summary:

Our partner is undergoing a critical technical transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, aiming to enhance its financial operations and business processes. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP WM/EWM Solution Consultant to take on the role of Senior Product Manager. This position will be responsible for consulting and managing the SAP WM and EWM module implementation and providing strategic guidance throughout the migration, ensuring smooth integration of warehouse management processes and operations in the new SAP S/4HANA environment. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in SAP WM and EWM modules, as well as extensive expertise in technical transformations and business change management in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities:

SAP S/4HANA WM/EWM Transformation:

• Lead the transformation of Cognizant’s customer’s warehouse management processes from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring that warehouse data, reporting, and analytics are seamlessly transitioned.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand the existing SAP ECC WM landscape and requirements for the S/4HANA transformation.
• Design and implement a comprehensive strategy for migrating SAP WM and EWM modules to SAP S/4HANA, covering all necessary configurations, enhancements, and process optimization.

Product Management:

• Assume the role of Senior Product Manager for the SAP WM and EWM modules, serving as the primary subject matter expert (SME) and owner of the warehouse management products and solutions within the SAP ecosystem.
• Define the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and objectives for the SAP WM and EWM modules post-S/4HANA implementation.
• Ensure alignment of the SAP WM and EWM strategy with business goals, providing expert guidance to ensure warehouse management processes meet business needs.

Stakeholder Engagement and Requirements Gathering:

• Work closely with key business users, warehouse management, and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and configurations.
• Manage the end-to-end process for requirement gathering, ensuring that business stakeholders’ needs are addressed while balancing technical constraints and best practices.

Solution Design and Configuration:

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA WM and EWM solutions, including modules like Warehouse Management (WM) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
• Conduct workshops and meetings to define and validate business requirements, ensuring the solution meets Cognizant’s customer’s warehouse management, compliance, and operational needs.
• Provide deep knowledge of integration points between SAP WM/EWM and other modules such as SAP MM, SD, and PP.

Testing and Validation:

• Oversee the testing phases, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure the solution meets functional, technical, and business requirements.
• Develop test scripts, conduct workshops, and coordinate with various teams to validate the SAP S/4HANA WM and EWM solution.

Training and Knowledge Transfer:

• Provide guidance and training to key users, functional consultants, and business stakeholders on SAP S/4HANA WM and EWM functionalities and changes.
• Ensure smooth knowledge transfer from consultants and developers to end-users post-implementation.

Continuous Improvement and Optimization:

• Monitor the performance of the SAP WM and EWM system post-implementation, identifying opportunities for continuous improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, and warehouse management.
• Lead initiatives to streamline warehouse management processes and improve the integration of SAP WM and EWM with other enterprise systems.

Documentation and Compliance:

• Ensure that all project documentation, including system configuration, user guides, and process documentation, is kept up to date and complies with Cognizant’s customer’s governance and audit standards.
• Ensure that SAP S/4HANA WM and EWM solutions adhere to industry standards, legal regulations, and internal compliance policies.

Collaboration and Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of consultants, both internal and external, ensuring that the SAP WM and EWM modules are delivered on time, within scope, and according to budget.
• Collaborate with other SAP consultants, solution architects, and technical teams to ensure the entire system works cohesively.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks during the project lifecycle and propose mitigation strategies, ensuring the project runs smoothly and is completed without major disruptions.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, issues, risks, and solutions.

Requirements:

Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in SAP WM and EWM modules, with at least 3-5 years in SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Proven experience in leading SAP WM and EWM projects, including ECC to S/4HANA migrations.
• Experience as a Senior Consultant or Product Manager managing complex warehouse management systems and transformations in large-scale organizations.

Educational Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Technology, or a related field.
• SAP S/4HANA certification in WM/EWM modules is highly mandatory.

Project Management:

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred for execution and delivery of the program.
• Strong project management skills, with experience using Agile or other relevant methodologies for large-scale SAP transformations.
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.

Technical Expertise:

• Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA WM and EWM modules, including new functionalities introduced in S/4HANA.
• Strong hands-on experience in configuring SAP WM and EWM modules, integrating SAP with other business systems (e.g., SAP MM, SD, PP).
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori for warehouse management user interfaces and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting is desirable.
• Familiarity and experience with data migration and conversion techniques for SAP, including the use of SAP Data Services or SAP S/4HANA migration tools.

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with warehouse management compliance regulations specific to the UAE and international markets.
