Job Description

The Sales Manager for Lighting is primarily responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve the company’s sales targets and deliver growth in the lighting sector. This role demands strategic oversight of the sales operations, developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers, and understanding market trends to maximize opportunities. The Sales Manager will work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment of sales goals with overall business objectives. This position requires an individual with a proven track record in sales leadership within the lighting industry, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to drive a team towards a high-performance culture.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies for the lighting division.
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of sales professionals to maximize revenue.
  • Set and track sales targets, adjusting strategies to ensure sales objectives are met.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities and competitive threats.
  • Coordinate with marketing and product development teams to optimize product offerings.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Negotiate contracts with major clients and handle complex sales negotiations.
  • Organize and participate in trade shows, sales events, and conferences.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate staff to improve sales performance and team effectiveness.
  • Promote a customer-focused culture and ensure customer satisfaction is a top priority.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in sales management within the lighting industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing teams effectively.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales metrics and trends.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
