Job Description

As a Radiographer, you will play a crucial role in the field of medical imaging and patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include operating imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to accurately capture images that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring patient safety by following proper radiation protocols and positioning patients correctly for imaging procedures. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in radiologic technology, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients. Responsibilities

  • Perform X-ray imaging procedures to create diagnostic images for radiologists to interpret.
  • Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain high-quality images while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment to produce accurate and clear diagnostic images.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure cooperation during imaging.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to determine appropriate imaging techniques based on patient conditions.
  • Evaluate imaging results for clarity and accuracy, making adjustments as needed to obtain optimal images.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Keep current on advances in imaging technology and techniques to enhance skills and efficiency.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure the highest standards of imaging and patient care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information for patient treatment planning.

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
  • Valid certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and protocols
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
