Job Description

The QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) Officer is a vital role within any organization that prioritizes the safeguarding of its workforce, promotes sustainable practices, and maintains impeccable quality standards. This role demands a proactive individual who is adept at developing, implementing, and managing systems that secure the health and safety of employees, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The QHSE Officer serves as the guardian of organizational standards, working diligently to foster a culture of safety and quality. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement QHSE policies, procedures, and frameworks across the organization.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with QHSE standards.
  • Identify potential risks and hazards in the workplace and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions to enhance employee awareness of QHSE practices.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and records reflecting company’s compliance with QHSE regulations.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to local and national safety guidelines.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to management on QHSE-related matters.
  • Analyze data to monitor QHSE performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of quality assurance and environmental stewardship throughout the organization.
  • Engage with various departments to ensure seamless integration of QHSE practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations regarding QHSE issues and achievements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a QHSE-related role within a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international QHSE regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Certification in QHSE management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or OHSAS 18001.
  • Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining high attention to detail.
