Job Description

The QHSE Manager is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) aspects of an organization. This position is key to maintaining compliance with regulations and furthering a culture of safety and excellence within the organization. The QHSE Manager will develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure that the company's practices align with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires a proactive approach to driving continuous improvement and cultivating an environment where quality and safety are prioritized. The QHSE Manager will also work closely with senior management, operational teams, and external stakeholders to promote and embed QHSE policies and procedures across all levels of the organization. A successful candidate should have a strong background in QHSE management, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills to lead and inspire their team effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive QHSE policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with QHSE standards.
  • Analyze incidents and non-compliance issues to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by reviewing and enhancing QHSE practices.
  • Lead risk assessment processes and champion mitigation strategies for identified risks.
  • Coordinate with all departments to ensure seamless integration of QHSE programs and initiatives.
  • Deliver training and awareness programs to employees on QHSE topics and best practices.
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation, industry trends, and new regulations impacting the organization.
  • Manage reporting and documentation for all QHSE-related activities and communications.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance and accreditations.
  • Provide expert advice to management on QHSE issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Supervise and develop the existing QHSE team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a QHSE managerial role within a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of QHSE regulations, standards, and best practices is essential.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct detailed incident investigations.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful QHSE management systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing and inspiring teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of the organization.
