Job Summary

The Project Manager at Halcon manages high scale, complex and interconnected projects of the organization to achieve larger, long-term business objectives. The job incumbent leads and drives the allocated projects with strong attention to strategy, implementation, and delegation from concept to successful completion ensuring projects achieves strategic and operational needs of organization in terms of budget, quality and delivery targets.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the Programme Manager in executing the programme management vision, strategies, procedures, processes, systems, tools and standards to support the organization's strategic direction.
  • Establish and maintain detailed project plan across the different cross functional entities to achieve development goals and milestones within scope and schedule.
  • Plan, develop, execute and maintain the scope, deliverables, functional milestones, required resources, operating plans, budget, and timelines for all allocated projects.
  • Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of internal resources as required.
  • Find innovative ways to resolve problems or issues, systematically and effectively during the course of the project, such as optimizing and sharing resources across the project for obtaining maximum benefits.
  • Develop project assessment protocols for evaluation, auditing and health checks on projects
  • Support System Engineer and design team in developing the System Engineering Management Plan, TEMP, QAP, CMP.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify, validate and implement concepts, and align project outcomes with overall business and key stakeholder requirements.
  • Ensure the conformity of project output against contractual requirements and objectives, as well as company norms and standards utilizing resources effectively over the full lifecycle of the contract.
  • Manage project budgets and funding channels for maximum productivity, monitor expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the project progresses.
  • Develop a project communications management plan to address the stakeholders needs and expectations and also provide key information in a timely manner.
  • Ensure project reviews are regularly and effectively conducted to drive plan, monitor and control the delivery of project to schedule, budget and to the agreed quality level
  • Ensure progress is monitored, risks identified and appropriate mitigation against non-delivery is invoked.
  • Take ownership of the project management policy, guidelines and any associated documents.
  • Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Ensure to provide project status and regular reporting on the project progress to the various Executive and Project Management entities.
  • Share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery
  • Provide guidance to junior members of the team, coach and mentor junior team members and contribute to the knowledge of the office through collaborative exchange

Experience & Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in System, Mechanical or Electronic/Electrical Engineering.
  • 5 years’ of continuous Project Management experience within the Defense industry.
  • Project management tools and methodologies
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of missile and weapon systems development and production processes.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and multi-cultural environment.
  • Knowledge of UAE and international defense industry regulations and standards
