About The Role

SEGULA Technologies Middle East is looking for a Project Engineer – UAE National to support a major infrastructure and transportation project in Abu Dhabi.

The Project Engineer will coordinate engineering and construction activities, monitor technical compliance and project progress, and work closely with engineering, construction, subcontractor, planning, quality and HSE teams to ensure successful execution of the works.

This position is suitable for an Emirati engineer with practical exposure to major construction, infrastructure, transportation or rail projects who is comfortable working across both technical engineering coordination and site activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor engineering and construction activities across the project.
• Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, contractual requirements and project procedures.
• Coordinate between engineering, construction, subcontractors, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Review technical documents, drawings, method statements, material submissions and related engineering deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, quality performance and technical compliance.
• Identify technical issues, construction constraints and interface challenges and support their timely resolution.
• Support project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and reporting activities.
• Conduct site inspections and follow up on technical observations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate responses to technical queries, RFIs and engineering clarifications.
• Ensure engineering and construction activities comply with applicable HSE requirements and project procedures.
• Support coordination between design requirements and site execution.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates and engineering documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of project correspondence, technical submissions, approvals and engineering documentation.
• Support project management in monitoring milestones, deliverables and construction priorities.
  
  

Candidate Profile

• UAE National with Family Book.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Previous experience in project engineering, construction engineering, site engineering or technical coordination.
• Experience within rail, transportation, civil infrastructure, utilities or major construction projects is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Exposure to method statements, material submittals, RFIs and technical coordination processes.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Good reporting and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with project planning, progress monitoring and site coordination.
• Understanding of HSE and quality requirements within construction environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of engineering/project management software is an advantage.
• Available for immediate or short-notice joining in Abu Dhabi.
  
  

Preferred Experience

Previous exposure to railway, metro, high-speed rail, transportation infrastructure, major civil works or large EPC construction projects will be considered a strong advantage.
