Job Description

As a Planning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful progression of projects within our organization. Your primary focus will be to develop and track project schedules while ensuring that project milestones and objectives are met on time. You will liaise with various departments to coordinate project timelines and monitor the progress of different project phases. You will be responsible for forecasting project timelines, resources, and costs while working collaboratively with project managers and team members to mitigate any potential risks or delays. Your exceptional analytical and organizational skills will help the company deliver projects efficiently, contributing significantly to the team's overall success.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement detailed project schedules to meet project objectives.
  • Collaborate with project managers to align project goals with company objectives.
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure that deadlines are strictly adhered to.
  • Coordinate with department heads to ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Prepare and present regular updates to stakeholders on project progress.
  • Use project management software to track and monitor project progress effectively.
  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts and propose solutions in advance.
  • Conduct project risk assessments and collaborate with teams to mitigate risks.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling meetings, as well as preparing the necessary documentation.
  • Regularly review and update project plans to reflect any changes in scope.
  • Develop forecasting tools for anticipating future project phases and resources required.
  • Analyze historical data and apply lessons learned to improve future project schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Planning Engineer or similar role within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and ensuring project accuracy.
