Job Description

As a Pharmacy Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a pharmacy by overseeing all activities related to pharmacy management. You will be responsible for supervising pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with health regulations, maintaining stock levels, and optimizing pharmacy operations for both profitability and quality care. A successful Pharmacy Manager remains updated with the latest pharmaceutical advancements and regulatory requirements, delivering an exceptional level of service to customers while ensuring that all operations align with company policies and healthcare standards. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the pharmacy to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Manage and supervise the pharmacy team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Optimize inventory management by maintaining adequate stock of medications and supplies.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve pharmacy operations and profitability.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management.
  • Monitor and improve accuracy of prescription dispensing and documentation.
  • Ensure that all pharmacy staff adhere to safety and quality control measures.
  • Stay informed on pharmaceutical industry trends and emerging health technologies.
  • Coordinate and conduct regular staff meetings to address issues and improve staff unity.
  • Implement promotional and educational programs to increase pharmacy's community engagement.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid pharmacist license in good standing with the state regulatory board.
  • Proven experience in pharmacy management or a leadership role in a pharmacy setting.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical practices, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and develop strategies based on them.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy management software and other relevant digital tools.
