Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an MIS and Inventory Management Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's inventory system and ensuring the efficient operation of Management Information Systems (MIS) to support business operations. You will play a crucial role in tracking inventory levels, analyzing data, and providing insights to enhance operational efficiency. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of inventory management principles, and proficiency in MIS software. A proactive approach, along with strong communication and organizational skills, is essential to excel in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and updated records of inventory levels and daily operational data.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and strategies to optimize resources.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective and timely communication regarding stock levels.
  • Utilize MIS software to compile and analyze reports on inventory and operational performance.
  • Identify trends and recommend solutions to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce waste.
  • Oversee the movement and storage of inventory within the warehouse and distribution centers.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
  • Train and support staff in effective inventory control procedures and MIS software usage.
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to monitor inventory management effectiveness and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to enhance the MIS infrastructure to support business needs better.
  • Lead initiatives for process improvement and automation within inventory management systems.
  • Provide periodic status reports and insights to senior management regarding inventory operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field required.
  • Proven experience in MIS and inventory management in a corporate setting.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and tools is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective internal coordination.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
