Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with both international and local maritime industry standards and regulations.

  • Manage the installation and commissioning of new marine equipment and systems aboard vessels.
  • Generate detailed technical reports and documentation pertinent to marine engineering projects.
  • Lead research initiatives aimed at developing innovative marine engineering technologies.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of emerging technologies impacting the marine industry.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in marine engineering or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software for engineering applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of marine industry standards, safety protocols, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead engineering projects from concept through completion effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proven track record in critical thinking under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to travel and work on-site at shipyards, offshore platforms, or aboard vessels as required.
  • Certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) are advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills with expertise in preparing technical reports and presentations.
