Job Description

The Logistics Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the logistics department. This position involves managing the flow of goods and materials, ensuring that all processes are efficient and optimized to support the company’s goals. The Logistics Supervisor will coordinate with various departments to facilitate the smooth movement of products from suppliers to end-users. They will handle inventory management, shipping, and warehousing details with precision. This position also requires supervising a team of logistics personnel, aiming to maintain high standards of performance and compliance within the industry. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily logistics operations and activities to ensure timely delivery.
  • Develop and implement effective logistics strategies to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to streamline supply chain processes.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to enhance workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies to maintain safety standards.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise logistics personnel to build a proficient and motivated team.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve customer satisfaction through reliable logistics services.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for the logistics department to optimize cost-efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of logistics activities and prepare reports for management review.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments or inventory with prompt action.
  • Conduct regular audits of logistics processes to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in logistics management or supervisory role within a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management software systems.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills to coordinate and motivate staff.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle logistics challenges effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines efficiently.
