Job Description

A Logistics Specialist plays a crucial role in the organization by ensuring the smooth transportation and distribution of goods. Responsibilities

  • Negotiate with carriers and suppliers to secure favorable shipping rates and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements regarding the handling and shipping of goods.
  • Track shipments in transit and ensure timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and manage supply levels efficiently.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive reports on logistics metrics and performance indicators.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of logistics policies and procedures.
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure reliable operations.
  • Identify new logistics solutions and propose improvements to existing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make timely decisions.
