Job Description

A Logistics Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing the supply chain operations of a company. They ensure that the movement of goods runs smoothly from origin to destination. This position requires the ability to work under pressure, multitask, and solve complex problems effectively. The individual in this role is responsible for coordinating with suppliers, transportation services, and the internal team to ensure that the logistics process is managed efficiently. They must have excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders and ensure that necessary logistics operations are carried out seamlessly. Additionally, attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues within the supply chain are critical characteristics for success as a Logistics Coordinator.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to facilitate efficient movement of goods.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to streamline logistics operations and meet objectives.
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
  • Prepare accurate reports on inventory levels, logistics costs, and transportation efficiency.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints in logistics operations promptly.
  • Maintain updated records of invoices, purchase orders, and contracts in the logistics system.
  • Provide input on strategic improvements for optimizing logistics processes and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws and regulations on logistics activities.
  • Work closely with the warehouse team to manage and ensure appropriate inventory levels.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and suggest timely solutions to enhance supply chain effectiveness.
  • Assist in budget preparation and cost analysis for efficient logistics management.
  • Evaluate performance by analyzing data and preparing logistics performance reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar logistical role.
  • Solid knowledge of logistics software, databases, and inventory management systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective coordination.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle complex logistics challenges efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic logistics team.
