Primary Responsibilities

• Ensures that all the staff in his section performs their duties to the best of their abilities due to his/ her supervision.
• Knows how to operate each of the equipment and also trains his / her staff in their use.
• When handling guest laundry or dry cleaning make sure that his / her staff treats the items carefully to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Properly uses chemicals, the right amount, so cost can be controlled effectively.
• Tightly supervises quality control for in-house linens and uniforms.
• Is very concerned about security and safety for his / her staff and colleagues at work and reports any damage/ unsafe condition immediately.
• Knows all procedures of the Laundry Department.
• Cross-trains staff from other sections to upgrade the knowledge of the employees, the efficiency and effectiveness of the Laundry Department.
• Suggest the paper work of his / her section (production reports, guest charges, etc) conscientiously and accurately.
• Attends meeting if so required.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Laundry Manager and the management.
  
  

Administrative Responsibilities

• A keep a tight control and records of all staff uniforms.
• Attend the daily Laundry briefings.
  
  

Technical Responsibilities

• Ensure all laundry staff is fully trained and able to operate the various kind of machinery in the laundry.
• Report and faulty equipment to Engineering Department immediately.
  
  

Human Resources Responsibilities

• Ensure that the Company’s health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times and a safe working environment is maintained.
  
  

Others

• Continuous learning through own IDP.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the superior.

• Ensure confidentiality and secure storage of all intellectual property and data bases, both hard copy and electronic. Adhere to Dust Internet and E-mail policy. Ensure Hotel, Customer and Staff information or transactions are kept confidential during or after employment with the company.
  
  

Job Requirements

• At least High Vocational diploma in any discipline
• Minimum of 3 years in laundry service experience.
• Knowledge of fabric cleaning method, laundry techniques, requirements and use of equipment.
• Have good English communication skills both in written and spoken.
• Detail-oriented and possess pleasant personality with good communication and interpersonal skills.
