Job Description

The Kitchen Supervisor is a vital role within culinary operations, responsible for overseeing the daily activities in the kitchen and ensuring top-notch meal preparation and service. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth service.

  • Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor compliance with safety and sanitation regulations to prevent hazards.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Supervise food storage and inventory, ensuring timely orders and minimal waste.
  • Collaborate with chefs to plan and develop seasonal menus and specials.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure kitchen equipment is in good condition.
  • Resolve any kitchen conflicts or staff issues promptly and fairly.
  • Ensure consistent food quality and presentation by following established recipes.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization at all times.
  • Generate and maintain kitchen financial reports including cost and waste analysis.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Supervisor or in a similar role for several years.
  • Culinary school diploma or degree in food service management or related field.
  • Robust understanding of kitchen operations, safety, and health regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills to manage diverse staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and kitchen management software applications.
  • Consistent track record of delivering high-quality food and service.
