Job Description

Assists in identifying, evaluating, and controlling workplace hazards. This role involves conducting workplace assessments, collecting data, and contributing to the development of safety and health programs. They work under the guidance of senior consultants to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting Workplace Assessments:

Visiting industrial sites to assess potential health hazards, including chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic factors.

  • Data Collection and Analysis:

Performing air monitoring, noise assessments, and other sampling techniques to evaluate exposures.

  • Developing Safety Programs:

Assisting in the development and implementation of safety and health programs, policies, and procedures.

  • Risk Assessment:

Contributing to risk assessments, identifying potential hazards, and recommending control measures.

  • Report Writing:

Preparing clear and concise reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

  • Client Communication:

Interacting with clients to explain findings and recommendations, sometimes presenting information to management and employees.

  • Staying Updated:

Keeping abreast of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in industrial hygiene.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Educational Background: A bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge: A good understanding of industrial hygiene principles, hazard identification, and risk assessment techniques.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using monitoring equipment and analytical tools.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for report writing and client interaction.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop effective solutions.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other professionals.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
