Job Description

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be the backbone of our technical infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of our computer systems and networks. You will serve as the first point of contact for any technical issues faced by end-users, assisting with hardware, software, and network troubleshooting. Your role is crucial to minimize downtime, ensuring that our team can concentrate on core business operations without technical disruptions. Your expertise will contribute to defining and applying the best practices for IT management and support, producing a seamless workspace for our employees to thrive. You will also work closely with different departments to identify and implement improvements that enhance our IT services. This role requires a proactive thinker who can quickly adapt to evolving technologies and who loves problem-solving in a dynamic business environment.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance for incoming user issues and requests.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related problems effectively.
  • Install, configure, and maintain company-approved software applications and hardware.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to improve efficiency and performance of systems.
  • Develop and update technical documentation and training materials for end-users.
  • Ensure all end-user requests are logged and tracked in the service management tool.
  • Assist in the deployment and management of network infrastructure and security measures.
  • Provide timely follow-up with users on issue resolution and service requests.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords through the organization's systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors for upgrades, repairs, and technical support as necessary.
  • Maintain an ongoing inventory of company hardware, software, and license agreements.
  • Perform regular system updates, backups, and preventative maintenance tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT support specialist or similar technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, Mac OS, and common office software applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot network issues, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical information clearly and concisely.
