Job Description

The IT Pre-sales Executive is a pivotal role within the sales team that blends technical expertise and sales skills to engage potential clients effectively. This role requires an individual who can bridge the gap between the technical aspects of an IT product or solution and the commercial interests of the customer. The IT Pre-sales Executive is responsible for understanding customer requirements, providing product demonstrations, and crafting technical proposals that address client needs. Their goal is to influence and educate customers to understand why a particular IT solution is the right fit for their business. They work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure that the solutions offered are aligned with customer requirements and market trends. Success in this position is measured by the ability to contribute to sales growth through technical acumen, strategic consultations, and crafting compelling solutions that meet clients' technological needs.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to potential clients to highlight product capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Craft detailed and technical sales proposals that effectively communicate the solution's value.
  • Assist in responding to RFPs by preparing comprehensive and competitive proposals.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team about client needs and market trends.
  • Develop technical documents, presentations, and proposals that sell IT solutions effectively.
  • Engage with clients during the pre-sales phase to ensure technical alignment.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, ensuring products meet current and future customer needs.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to promote the company's technologies and connect with potential clients.
  • Train and enable the sales team to improve their technical acumen of the products offered.
  • Deliver proof of concept exercises that showcase product flexibility and advantages.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients by maintaining a strategic perspective on mutual goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a pre-sales or technical consultancy role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT products and solutions, particularly within our industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a focus on technical detail.
  • Proven ability to build strong client relationships and influence decisions.
  • Experience with salesforce or other CRM systems to track leads and opportunities.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Keen problem-solving skills with attention to detail in crafting tailored IT solutions.
  • Willingness to travel based on business requirements to meet clients and conduct presentations.
