Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the premises. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a dedication to hospitality excellence. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will manage a team of housekeepers, coordinate cleaning schedules, and ensure that health and safety standards are consistently met. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the training and development of your team, enhancing their skills and ensuring that they deliver exceptional service to our guests. This role requires a proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to solve problems effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the housekeeping staff team members.
  • Ensure all rooms and common areas are serviced and maintained to company standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to ensure cleanliness.
  • Address guest complaints promptly and ensure satisfactory resolutions are achieved.
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment efficiently.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate performance of housekeeping personnel to enhance skills.
  • Develop and implement efficient cleaning schedules and procedures for the department.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines and regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to report and repair any physical deficiencies.
  • Compile daily reports and documentation regarding housekeeping operations progress.
  • Coordinate with front desk and other departments for special housekeeping requests.
  • Report any necessary improvements or renovations needed to management promptly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required for this supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in housekeeping or similar roles within hospitality settings.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate staff effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to multitask and manage tasks under tight deadlines successfully.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning products and procedures specific to hospitality.
  • Proficiency in using basic computer software for documentation and reporting tasks.
