As a Fit Out Draftsman and Joinery Detailer, you will play a critical role in translating design concepts into detailed and precise technical drawings necessary for architectural and joinery projects. This position requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills to ensure the successful completion of fit-out and joinery projects. You will be required to produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings, working closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure all details meet specific requirements and quality standards. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between conceptual design and reality, ensuring each element is expertly crafted and installed to specification.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed CAD drawings for fit-out and joinery projects in accordance with specifications.
• Collaborate with design and project teams to ensure the feasibility of proposed designs.
• Coordinate with the project manager to ensure drawings align with project delivery timelines.
• Revise and refine designs and technical drawings based on client and team feedback.
• Produce accurate 3D models and presentations of designs for client review.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards in design documents.
• Assist in the selection and specification of materials to be used for joinery work.
• Support the fabrication team by providing accurate cut lists and technical instructions.
• Review and verify design feasibility, making adjustments to designs where necessary.
• Maintain a comprehensive and organized database of all design-related documents.
• Stay updated with the latest design software and technology advancements.
• Facilitate clear communication between the design, onsite, and offsite teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting and joinery detailing required.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit essential.
• Strong understanding of joinery design principles and construction methods.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in technical drawing creation.
• Ability to interpret architectural plans and technical specifications accurately.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
