Job Description

As an ELV/Fire Alarm Technician, you will be at the forefront of ensuring safety and security within various infrastructures by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electronic low voltage (ELV) systems and fire alarm systems. This crucial role involves working on state-of-the-art equipment to protect people and property from fire hazards. Your expertise will be required to identify system issues, conduct regular maintenance checks, and ensure that systems function efficiently. You will be collaborating closely with a team of safety professionals and clients, delivering solutions that meet specific technical and safety standards. Responsibilities

  • Install electronic low voltage and fire alarm systems in buildings safely and effectively.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure all systems are operating optimally.
  • Diagnose and repair faults within ELV and fire alarm systems with precision.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Prepare accurate service reports and documentation for all work performed on systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest ELV and fire safety technologies and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and national building codes and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on operating ELV and alarm systems.
  • Monitor system performance and conduct tests to verify reliability and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their system needs and preferences.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service requests and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Assist in designing customized ELV and fire alarm solutions for different facilities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in installing and maintaining ELV and fire alarm systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electronic low voltage systems and their components.
  • Familiarity with local and national fire safety codes and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and safety.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
  • Certification or diploma in electronics, fire safety, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a skilled team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Willingness to be on-call for emergency maintenance and support services.
